Educational Programs

The Digital Humanities Research Centre supports the teaching staff and students of the Digital Humanities Master, the first Digital Humanities master program in Central and South-Eastern Europe. The program received the University of Bucharest Senat prize for the most innovative program in 2019.

Main Objective

The main objective of this master’s program is the training of graduates able to master digital technology and apply it to practical problems in the humanities. The program is addressed both to graduates of humanities faculties (foreign languages, letters, social sciences, history, etc.), as well as graduates of faculties with a technical profile (informatics, automation, mathematics, etc.).

Post-Graduate Opportunities

Digital text editing, preservation of cultural heritage, natural language processing, human-machine interaction, or Large Language Models prompting engineering are just some of the most promising topics for graduates. Graduates can opt for a career in industry or in research: the graduate profile can recommend them either for a job in a company, or for pursuing an academic career, starting with a doctoral program such as the Interdisciplinary PhD School of the University of Bucharest, launched in 2019.
